An ointment is applied for 48 hours after a treatment. After that, moisturizer, makeup, and sunscreen may be applied. Mild swelling and redness, and minimal to no bruising may persist for a week. There is no oozing or discomfort afterwards. It is important to avoid direct sun exposure, and use a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day.
